Vancouver

Upon arriving in Vancouver we tried to make our way to a certain point we thought would have a nice sunset view, somehow we got incredibly lost but by chance arrived at a completely different point which happened to provide a nice sunset view anyway. Later we found out that we’d watched the sunset from Pacific Spirit Regional Park. We wondered the University District and Stanley Park where the latter provided our first (and only to date) Racoon sighting.

We spent a time down town at the Olympic Torch and on the waterfront, visited Gas Town, China Town and the homeless district (it seemed). Parking the van however proved difficult and occasionally expensive so it was with something of a sense of relief that we departed for Vancouver Island after a few days.

  1. Of course I was off taking a photo of the scenery when the raccoon walked by where Sam was sitting!

  2. Nice blog Sam.

I’ve never been to Vancouver before (was planning to once but had to cancel it unfortunately cause of low budget) but I’m glad you had a nice visit. Still, one raccoon only? Bummer.

I might have an opportunity to go there soon though, thanks to mystery shopping. I believe you can save up to 50% off on some trips. Will definitely check out Vancouver if its in the roster.
