Fascinating – the Toilet

I really like the room we had Patong, including the toilet, but it did have its quirks (Thai bathrooms in general).

Firstly it is situated under a stair case, so it has a slanting ceiling with the toilet under the lowest level. This is all very well if you’re sitting down to let out the ‘Thai squirts’, but James and I have both hit our heads numerous times when going for a whiz. In fact after our ‘Big Night in Patong Beach’ James woke up complaining about a bump from an unknown source on the side of his forehead above his eye, personally I suspect the toilet.

The toilets second quirk is its lack of toilet paper, there is just a hose with a shower head in arms reach. I have to say it works pretty well.
It is a simple design, essentially self cleaning with the shower being in the same area with no curtain separation. When you have a shower water flies everywhere!
