Verona

27 June 2010 (French Riviera to Venice (Verona Stop)

I’m in Italy, holy shit – Italy.

Home of the Ducati, Ferrari, Lamborghini and the Mafia. Known for pizza, pasta, wine and Italians.

I’d been to Paris before so it was nothing new; you could almost say nothing too special (though it was). Since Paris this trip has dished up a lot of ‘wow’. Wow I’m somewhere new, wow how these Spaniards still have fingers & toes, wow look how crazy these Italians do service, brilliant.

Quick stop where we had a look at the famous balcony used by Romeo & Juliet in their famous love story. Apparently it is tradition to touch Juliet’s breast (the statue), I missed the significance of the tradition but managed to keep it going all the same.
